“So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” - Malachi 3:18 HCSB
The biggest societal problem we face is not immorality but rather amorality. It is the proposition that there is no right or wrong and that good and evil are simply nonbinding opinions which are completely subject to the fluctuations human interpretation, prejudices, and preferences from age to age. In fact, the only thing deemed wrong in an our amoral culture is the notion of calling someone’s actions, beliefs, or habits wrong. Hence the "Tell YOUR truth" trend. And yet the Bible roots itself in exclusive claims of truth designed to liberate humanity from the destructive nature of immorality and amorality through reconciliation with our unchanging Creator.
Holy scripture is clear: There is absolute right and there is absolute wrong. There is good and there is evil. But these days, every whim, idea, and habit—no matter how foolish, corrupt, or flat out bizarre—becomes baptized by public approval, made pure in man’s sight by misleading justifications, and canonized by some so-called expert. Even within the Body of Christ, there is considerable in uncertainty surrounding what a godly lifestyle looks like, who is from God, and who is exhibiting a fraudulent form of piety. Leaders are not exempt from this issue, as they are too-often the mouthpieces for faulty doctrine resulting in the shipwrecked or deformed faith of their listeners.
Powerful but erroneous winds of doctrine (ie. Eph. 4:14) blow at gale force while Christian denominations, seminaries, and organizations intoxicate themselves through relationships of spiritual compromise with corrupt political parties, new age schools of thought, and superstar religious idols who are themselves misled or under-equipped for the warfare we now face. Right has become wrong, down has become up, and Satanic agents sit in ecclesiastical sleeper cells waiting to activated for the destruction of Christian unity and progress. Doubtless, It can be safely assumed that we are now treading through in the perilous times of 1 Tim. 3:1.
The blind are leading the blind into ditches at an alarming rate. Furthermore, in the midst of our this flood of confusion, many have turned aside to seductive doctrines, tantalizing myths, and defunct truth claims espoused by demonically darkened minds who seize upon the misguided spiritual hunger of suffering souls. New faces tell old lies, old problems wear new masks, and young believers are floundering in this modern madness—left I’ll-equipped for warfare due to an old model of ministry. In fact, in this rapidly advancing age of artificial intelligence, most of them live more under the influence of cunningly devised algorithms than they do the power of God.
And yet there sits on the throne of heaven One known from eternity as the Righteous Judge, embodying and sustaining all that is right in spite of all that is wrong. Through Him, God has already pierced through the world’s present darkness with the light of His prophetic word. Isaiah 3:12b-13 declares, “My people, your leaders mislead you; they confuse the direction of your paths. The Lord rises to argue the case and stands to judge the people.” Despite the debauchery of this age and the weaknesses of our leaders, Jesus is standing today to once more to advocate on behalf of God’s covenant promises and demands.
Be it regarding amorality or any other stratagem of darkness, this one truth from God’s word disarms all of Satan’s lies for this generation and forevermore: JESUS IS LORD. He is the solution we seek, mercilessly slaughtering in the spirit realm through His sacrificial blood all opposition to those who wear His righteousness and bear his cross. The saying of 1 John 3:8 bears witness to this fact, stating unequivocally that “The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the Devil’s works.” To enforce this agenda, He then made us executors of His judgements and ambassadors of His mighty Kingdom through the Holy Ghost. We are thereby graced with authority to "demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ”
(2 Corinthians 10:4-5 HCSB). In other words, like Jesus and by Jesus (ie. John 20:21), we have been sent to declare, embody, and enforce the righteous decrees of heaven upon earth. This means confronting issues like amorality, exposing Satan's dangerous intentions through it, silencing cynics by our good works (ie. 1 Peter 2:15), and educating whosoever will listen in the prevailing way of Truth, which is God's word.
So yes, there is in fact right. There is indeed wrong. And there is Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—defining what is right and wrong with incontestable finality while granting favor to those who love, fear, and cling to Him. His name is Jesus Christ and He loves you. Let us receive and revere Him today with all of our heart, soul, and mind. In doing so, we will be empowered to guide our neighbors to repentance unto the acknowledgment of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25). Through our attentive obedience to Him and Spirit-led worship of Him, we will be inspired to love our neighbors as ourselves with His life-changing, truth-imparting, soul-saving love. Amorality is a road leading to nowhere and a stout enemy of the message of hope we carry. But through Christ, we will triump. This is how the captives of amorality will be set free. This is how eyes blinded by deception will see, ears deafened by pride will hear, and consciences seared by rebellion will become resensitized. And this is how the lame will be made to walk in lockstep with the Jesus for the glory of God in our time.
